Adventure: Head Control, Restaurant Tour, and Time Travelled
Lately Rose’s head and overall body control has improved dramatically. So I thought, “let’s try sitting you in your chair again.” Rewind about a month ago when I tried this the first time. It didn’t work so well. She always slumped over to one side, but now days she has so much more strength and control. My little girl sits up on her own (sort of). With everyday that goes by, little Rose seems to be hitting more and more milestones. Each one brings me great joy and excitement, but also a sort of sadness. I’m happy to see her grow and succeed but sad that this is all going by so quickly. She turns 4 months soon and I’m completely floored to as how quickly it’s gone by. I mean we’re a third of the way through the first year already. What the what?! Additionally, we finally took her out to a restaurant. Overall, I think it was very successful. We’ve been a little nervous about taking her out to a restaurant for fear of having a screaming child at the table and no escape, but luckily for us, that was not the case at all. Our adventure started with a trip to Downtown Summerlin (an outdoor shopping center in Las Vegas). There we would hit up Buy Buy Baby for some goods, then walk around and eat at one of the restaurants. While at Buy Buy Baby I was able to feed and change her while The Mrs did some shopping. That really helped set us up for a good lunch. She actually ended up falling asleep at the table which made everything super simple. And that nap set us up very nicely for a quick grocery trip to Trader Joe’s on the way home. To close, I can’t believe how quickly life is flying by. This journey has been an amazing one so far, and I can’t wait to see what else it has in store.
