Week one of Dadlife Fitness starts today! Make sure you warm up, cool down and stretch for each workout.Â
A and B: When doing these 5x5's be sure to go heavy and with the metcons, go hard but be safe. Form over intensity. Record your weights and times as your score.
C: If you've never done Snatches, go light and focus on form. On the body building portion, use a weight and rep scheme to fit your goals. Record your weights and reps.
D: Put in a hard effort on each run. Your rest between efforts will equal your time on the previous run. Record your times as your score.
Wx2: Don't forget about your two walking days. Do at least two 30 minute sessions this week. Involve the family, take the dogs, or go solo to clear your head.
Vocabulary for the week:Â
RFT= rounds for time
DL= deadlift
KB= kettlebell
AMRAP= as many rounds/reps as possible in a given time frame
SS= super set
FT= for time
metcons= metabolic conditioning (think intensity)
