My Favorite Thing About Pregnancy

This past weekend while driving around to do errands, my wife asked me, "what's your favorite thing/experience about this pregnancy so far?" Without hesitation I said feeling her kick for the first time. Feeling her kick for the first time was absolutely amazing! Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for all the staticky black and whites I get from the doctor (I even keep them at my bedside), but to feel her. To actually feel her! That just shifted my whole world and made everything 10x more real for me. Since then, she's gotten much bigger (our baby, not my wife), and I get to feel her almost everyday. No matter how often though, every time I feel her is pure bliss. To my wife, feeling the baby move usually means discomfort, but to me, it means being able to connect with her. And that connection is something that I cherish. Now, with our due date looming, I get to feel AND see her move. Its still a little creepy/cool to see something moving inside my wife, but its also the most exciting thing I've ever experienced. With our due date less than 9 days away, I can hardly contain my excitement. In fact, the anxiety/excitement is making it difficult to concentrate on anything else. But, there's nothing I can do but impatiently wait for my little princess' arrival.
