Adventure: Finding Out!

It was maybe 4 in the afternoon, and we were getting ready to workout. We were in our garage-gym putsin' around, trying to find some motivation.We'd been running errands all day so we were a bit tired and just looking forward to relaxing with each other. I was sitting on our rower about to put my on my shoes, when she gets up to get me a late anniversary gift that she said had "just come in." So she goes in the house and returns shortly with an old checkbook box. She hands me the box and says that my gift is inside. She sits down and turns on her camera because she wanted to "document" it. At this point I still haven't even put on my shoes, so I put them on and proceed to open the box. I get passed some tissue paper and discover a little note that read, "Can't wait to meet you." I lift the letter and see 3 pregnancy tests all reading positive! At first I can't believe what I'm seeing. Is this it? Is this the moment we've been waiting for? (side note: at this point, my wife and I had been trying to get pregnant for over a year. Her periods were really irregular. She had to get some meds to help regulate them. The doctor even ordered that my sperm get analyzed. But we can save that for another time) In my disbelief I proceeded to ask her, over and over, if this was real? Was she serious? Then I looked back at the box and it hit me all at once. This IS it! Holly crap she's pregnant! My eyes began to water. I stagger toward my wife to hug and kiss her. "We're" pregnant. Tips & Lessons Learned: -Be ready to spend about 50 bucks on additional pee sticks. Trust me, she'll pee on as many as she can get her hands on. Support her on this. You both may still be in disbelief. Plus, its a good activity for the both of you to bond and get excited about the pregnancy. -Pro tip- buy one of the bulk/value packs. I know they're the cheapy brand, but the volume of sticks will help soothe her. In addition, buy a pack of the best ones out there (just the one or two in a box will do). Having the volume and the best one out there will hopefully help you convince her to stop buying more of them. -Dude, you're going to be dad. Get pumped!
